Ivo Bantel, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Research & Data at POLITICO Europe, a position held since April 2023, alongside roles as Research & Data Team Lead and Data Analyst. From October 2022, Ivo has also been a Senior Research Fellow and Data Analyst at Modus - Zentrum für angewandte Deradikalisierungsforschung gGmbH. Prior experience includes a Doctoral Researcher position at the University of Zurich from July 2019 to March 2023, and a Visiting Research Fellow role at Harvard University in early 2022. Ivo's research experience spans multiple institutions, including research associate positions at the Boston Consortium for Arab Region Studies and the American University of Beirut, as well as a visiting researcher role at GESIS - Leibniz-Institute for the Social Sciences. Ivo's academic background includes a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from the University of Bremen.
