Jamika D. Burge

Jamika D. Burge, PhD, serves as the Head of Research & Insights Strategy for Data/AI/ML at Capital One, with previous roles as Head of Enterprise Design Research & Insights Strategy and Head of UX Research & Insights. As CEO, Board President, and Co-Founder of blackcomputeHER, Burge champions diversity in technology. Additionally, Burge founded Design & Technology Concepts, LLC, and has contributed as a member of the Committee on Addressing the Underrepresentation of Women of Color in Tech at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Previously, Burge held the position of Director of Assessment Technology Product and Research at Smarter Balanced at UCLA. Educational qualifications include a Postdoc in Computer and Information Sciences from Penn State University and a PhD in Computer Science (HCI) from Virginia Tech.
