Jennifer L. Scott is the Vice President, Operations of POLITICO. Ms. Scott serves as the operational backbone for the company, responsible for executive leadership development and performance, strategic business planning, operational performance analysis, and Board and ownership communication support. Since joining POLITICO in 2018, Ms. Scott has worked closely with the CEO and executive team to launch expansions of key verticals and new projects to generate record revenue and profit.

During her three-year tenure, Ms. Scott created a tops-down, cascading structure for aligning leaders on key organizational goals and priorities, including driving against key success metrics, global expansion goals, and revenue and budget targets. Ms. Scott guides the CEO on strategic issues affecting the business and drives structure and accountability. Her tireless commitment to POLITICO, collaborative spirit, and grit have yielded impressive returns to the business, culture, and leadership.

Ms. Scott’s passion for leadership development and operational effectiveness are a hallmark of her career. Prior to POLITICO, Ms. Scott enjoyed a successful 15-year career with The Advisory Board Company. She created and scaled the $800 million, 3800-person company’s Learning and Development function, achieving 8 promotions across her tenure. Ms. Scott bolstered business performance by owning the full life cycle of employee experience, championing onboarding innovations, high-potential leader development, and next-generation engagement and retention strategies to yield breakthrough staff performance and record-breaking low turnover.

Ms. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia.
