Meredith Jolivert

Meredith Jolivert is Vice President and Corporate Counsel at POLITICO. In her role, she provides legal counsel to the company’s senior management and advises on, among other areas, media and intellectual property law, legal risks, business strategies, commercial transactions and employment-related matters.

Ms. Jolivert is a seasoned lawyer with over 15 years of experience and an extensive background managing corporate, regulatory, and legal risk for companies and clients. She comes to POLITICO from Perpetual Capital Partners. Prior to joining Perpetual Capital Partners, Ms. Jolivert was in-house counsel at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation where she was responsible for the company’s legal strategies and policies relating to contract management, harassment, privacy, security, and corporate responsibility. Before joining NERC, she was an attorney with Patton Boggs, LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs), where she represented energy companies on both regulatory and public policy matters in the electric, gas, and hydroelectric industries.

Ms. Jolivert is active in numerous charitable and membership organizations, including service on the board of the Energy Bar Association and on the executive committee of the Washington, D.C. chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. and M.S. from American University.
