Michael Zapler

Michael Zapler currently serves as the Enterprise Editor at POLITICO, a position held since January 2011, and has held multiple editorial roles within the organization, including Managing Editor for Politics and Washington, Senior Congressional Editor, National Politics Editor, and Deputy Managing Editor. Prior to joining POLITICO, Michael Zapler worked at the San Jose Mercury News from June 2000 to January 2011, fulfilling roles such as Washington Correspondent, State Capitol Reporter, and Government Reporter. Earlier experience includes serving as a City Hall reporter at the Las Vegas Review-Journal from 1997 to 2000. Michael Zapler earned a BA with high honors in Politics from Oberlin College.
