Carol Matthews

Carol Matthews has extensive experience in the field of internal audit and accounting, currently serving as the Senior Director of Internal Audit Services at Polk County School Board since April 1991. Prior to this role, Carol held various positions within the same organization, including Director of Internal Audit Services and Senior Internal Auditor, as well as roles in property accounting and finance. Earlier career experience includes work as a Staff Accountant at Carter, Belcourt & Atkinson and Richard Derk, CPA. Carol holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, both from Florida Southern College.
