Brendan Baker

Brendan has a diverse background, spanning research and development and strategy within the mining industry, to ESG and climate consulting in the financial industry. Prior to Pollination Brendan held both Senior Associate and Vice President roles in ESG research and climate consulting for MSCI’s ESG business, supporting Asia Pacific institutional investors with their climate and ESG ambitions and challenges. Before MSCI Brendan spent several years at CDP in London, managing a suite of technical and strategic projects within the Investment team. As a research scientist, Brendan worked with Alcoa World Alumina’s global R&D team for several years, across a range of process efficiency projects implemented throughout Alcoa’s global refinery network. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Nanotechnology from Curtin University in Western Australia, and a Master’s in Environment and Resource Management from Vrije University in Amsterdam, majoring in climate policy.
