Sophie Leitch

Prior to joining Pollination, Sophie was a lawyer at Allens, working in the funds, superannuation and banking sectors. Sophie has experience working on a range of transactional matters, including advising on fund formation and M&A in the insurance and superannuation sectors. Sophie also has experience advising on complex regulatory and compliance matters, such as greenwashing reviews, for a range of financial services providers, including banks, superannuation funds, insurers and reinsurers and fund managers. Prior to working in funds, Sophie worked in competition law, assisting in preparing submissions on policy and legislative reforms in response to various regulatory inquiries, including the ACCC’s inquiry into digital advertising services and the draft News Media Bargaining Code. With a background in financial services and law and policy reform, Sophie has a keen interest in how they can reframe the current financial system and regulatory controls to proactively address the climate crisis and, in particular, to recognise and respond to nature risk.
