Staff Software Engineer - Team Lead at Polly

Nathan Duncan has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Nathan is currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Polly since April 2022. Prior to this, Nathan worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Polly from October 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Polly, Nathan gained significant experience at Epiq, where they held multiple roles. Nathan worked as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2018 to October 2021. In this role, they developed a responsive SPA using .NET MVC, KnockoutJs, ReactJs, CSS, and HTML with a SQL Server data warehouse backend for aggregated reporting metrics in an agile environment. Nathan also developed .NET applications to collect and transform data from source systems to a common format stored in a data warehouse. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2017 to June 2018 and as a Software Engineer from March 2014 to March 2017. Nathan started their journey at Epiq as an Associate Software Engineer from March 2012 to March 2014. In this role, they worked on web-based applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Knockoutjs, jQuery, MVC3, and C#.Net.

Nathan began their career as an ITSS Transportation Analyst at ConocoPhillips from June 2011 to May 2012. Nathan also had student work experience at Missouri State University, where they served as an Enterprise System Administrator and a Lab Technician from August 2008 to May 2011.

Additionally, Nathan had a summer internship as an Enterprise Systems Development Software Engineer at Jack Henry & Associates, Inc in 2010. During this internship, they updated console and web applications to the latest version of the .NET framework and gained experience in code review, the Scrum process, and project management. Nathan also created an Email Notification application using Visual Basic .Net, C#, and SQL.

Outside of their professional endeavors, Nathan volunteered as a Webmaster for the "Our House" Foundation from March 2009 to August 2010.

Nathan Duncan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics from Missouri State University. Nathan attended the university from 2007 to 2011.
