Carla van der Sterren

Carla van der Sterren is a Senior Patent Attorney at Polpharma Biologics since January 2024 and has extensive experience in intellectual property law and toxicology. Carla serves as a Member of the Examination Committee D paper at epi, a role held since January 2014. Prior to that, Carla worked as Senior Patent Counsel and European Patent Attorney at Byondis from January 2016 to January 2024, and as a European Patent Attorney, Patent Counsel, and Toxicologist at Synthon from February 1996 to January 2016. Carla's educational background includes a Master of Science in Applied Toxicology from the University of Surrey and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Radboud University. Additionally, Carla holds experience as an IP Specialist, evaluating patent landscapes to inform R&D in product development.
