L. James Berglund II

As chief legal officer, James Berglund oversees Polsinelli’s legal affairs and provides legal counsel to the board of directors, chief executive officer and other senior management. He proactively develops and leads corporate legal strategies to promote and protect matters to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities. While developing and leading internal audit and corporate compliance initiatives, James oversees a team of in-house attorneys and legal department members. He also educates employees on legal issues.

Prior to joining Polsinelli, James spent nearly 30 years representing clients before government agencies and in commercial litigation in federal and state trial courts. His practice focused on matters involving complex business claims, civil and criminal antitrust litigation, contract issues, fiduciary duty issues, healthcare fraud investigations, class action litigation, securities litigation, products liability, dram shop liability and aviation law.
