Tomasz Zajkowski is a Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center. Tomasz is also the President of the Polish Astrobiology Society. Tomasz previously worked at Switch Bioworks as a Founding Scientist II, focusing on synthetic biology. Tomasz has experience as a Visiting Researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine and as an Associate Scientist at Universities Space Research Association. Prior to that, Tomasz was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Warsaw and completed their PhD at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology. Their research interests include understanding the role of amyloids in the earliest forms of life and engineering non-model microbes for nitrogen fixation and plant colonization.

Polskie Towarzystwo Astrobiologiczne (Polish Astrobiology Society)
The Polish Astrobiological Society was established in 2020 on the initiative of Polish scientists dealing with issues related to Astrobiology. The aim of the Polish Astrobiological Society is to support and initiate activities enabling the development of astrobiology and related sciences, their popularization, and integration of the scientific community interested in the subject of astrobiology in order to establish cooperation on research projects. _______________________ Polskie Towarzystwo Astrobiologiczne powstało w 2020 roku z inicjatywy polskich naukowców zajmujących się zagadnieniami związanymi z Astrobiologią. Celem Polskiego Towarzystwa Astrobiologicznego jest popieranie i inicjowanie aktywności pozwalających na rozwój astrobiologii i nauk pokrewnych, ich popularyzacja oraz integracja środowiska naukowego zainteresowanego tematyką astrobiologii w celu nawiązania współpracy nad projektami badawczymi.
