Karen Dagg has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Karen began their career as a Receptionist/Administrator at DGP in 2004 and later worked as a Royalties Administrator at Beggars Group. In 2007, they co-founded Nothing Stays Golden Music, a DIY label where they handled various tasks such as overseeing day-to-day operations and touring. Karen then joined Atlantic Records in 2008 as a Marketing Manager, where they successfully led campaigns for Paramore and Fun, resulting in number 1 albums, platinum certifications, and Brit Awards nominations. Karen joined Kobalt Music Group in 2013 as a Senior Marketing Manager and was later promoted to Senior Product Manager. Karen's notable achievements at Kobalt include guiding Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes to the top of the vinyl album charts. Currently, they are working at Polydor Records, where they have held roles as a Senior Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing, and is currently serving as the Marketing Director. In their role at Polydor, Karen has led successful campaigns for various artists, including Sam Fender, who went from a new signing to a Brit Award-winning, platinum-selling artist with multiple number 1 charting albums and singles.
Karen Dagg attended Sir William Borlase's Grammar School, where they obtained their A Levels in English (A), Geography (A), and German (B). Karen also took 11 GCSEs, earning A to A* grades in all of them. Later, they enrolled at UCL and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English.
