Derek Shiell

Derek Shiell is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in various technical roles. At Polymer Labs, Derek serves as a Member of Technical Staff. Previously, Derek held the position of Distinguished Engineer at both Edgecast and Verizon Media Platform, where additional roles included Director of Engineering and Principal Architect. Derek's early career featured a significant role as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Epson Research & Development, Inc. Derek's academic background includes both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, obtained from 2000 to 2008 and 2000 to 2004 respectively, within the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science.
