Neremiah Mothata has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Neremiah started their career as a Process Control Engineer at Anglo American, where they were responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Filtration plant and other equipment. Neremiah then worked as a Laboratory Manager at the University of Johannesburg, conducting chemistry practicals and organizing lab chemicals.
Mothata later joined Johnson Matthey as a Production Engineer, overseeing a production line handling Vanadium and Platinum group metals. Neremiah managed a team and ensured the smooth functioning of the manufacturing process. After that, they became a Production Team Leader at HEINEKEN, where they were in charge of two returnable glass production lines and managed a team of 36 people.
Neremiah then transitioned to the role of Packaging Manager at Adcock Ingram, where they oversaw various packaging lines and ensured productivity, quality, safety, morale, and cost targets were met. Mothata continued their career as a Production Manager at Nestle S.A., managing a packaging department and overseeing a staff complement of 100 individuals.
Neremiah then joined Henkel as a Manufacturing Manager, responsible for manufacturing and operational activities at multiple plants. Next, Mothata worked at Unilever as a Plant Manager, overseeing manufacturing and operational activities across various product lines.
Most recently, Mothata served as a Manufacturing Operations Manager at SC Johnson, where they were responsible for overall manufacturing and operational activities for multiple business units. Neremiah ensured the timely delivery of products by driving OEE and effective maintenance activities.
Currently, Mothata is the Head of Operations at Polyoak Packaging, where they serve as a member of the executive committee for the Gauteng Region. Neremiah oversees three factories within the BlowPack Division, focusing on safety, quality, people, productivity, cost, continuous improvement, engineering, maintenance, and partnering with sales teams to contribute to shareholder mandates.
