Maia Carnevali

Maia Carnevali has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, with a focus on organic synthesis and peptide chemistry. Currently serving as a Development Scientist at PolyPeptide Group since April 2015, Maia has advanced through roles including Senior Development Chemist and Process Development Chemist. Prior experience includes a position as Synthesis Chemist 2 at American Peptide Company and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Aridis Pharmaceutical, where skills in analytical method development and antibacterial molecule analysis were honed. Maia earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California at San Diego, specializing in small molecule synthesis and RNA target interactions, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Early career experiences involved roles at Gryphon Therapeutics and Gryphon Sciences, focusing on large peptide synthesis and characterization.
