Detlef Dohmen

Detlef Dohmen has a diverse work experience starting from 1992. Detlef began their career at Polypore International, LP, where they held various roles such as IT Project Manager, IT Director, and CIO. During their tenure at Polypore, they played a key role in consolidating the IT environment and organizations from three Business Units into one, and modernizing the IT landscape for a Business Unit with over 1000 employees. In 2018, they joined Asahi Kasei America as the CIO of Polypore International L.P. and VP-IT AsahiKasei North America. Detlef is currently serving as the General Manager International IT at Asahi Kasei. Additionally, they have held advisory board and board member positions at CharlotteCIO and Apparo - Technology Solutions for Nonprofits respectively.

Detlef Dohmen obtained a CIO Certificate in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy from 2016 to 2019. Prior to this, they completed their Diplom in Electrical Engineering (Process Automation) from FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, starting in 1987 and finishing in 1991.
