Steven Chamberland has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Steven started their career as a Director of Network Architecture at Bell in 1998. Steven then joined École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in 1999 as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. In 2001, they moved to Polytechnique Montréal where they held several positions including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor in the Department of Computer and Software Engineering. Steven also served as the Chairholder for the Bell Research Chair in Network Architecture and later became the Chair of the Department. From 2010 to 2015, they were involved in administrative roles as the Vice-President of Academic and Student Life, and then served as the Vice-President of Administration and Resources from 2018 to 2021. In 2007, they also worked as a Visiting Research Engineer at Bell in the Access Network Technology department.
Steven Chamberland has a Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) degree from Queen's University Employment Relations Studies, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from EMBA McGill HEC Montréal, a PhD in Mathematics from Polytechnique Montréal, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. Steven also holds certifications as an Administrateur agréé (Adm. A.) from Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec, an Ingénieur (ing.) from Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
