Sonita Distefano

Sonita DiStefano is an accomplished executive in the mortgage industry with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Ponce Bank since July 2023, Sonita previously held the position of Director of Mortgage Operations at Simplist from January 2021 to July 2023, focusing on enhancing customer experience in the mortgage process. Prior to that, Sonita was the Director of Real Estate Lending at Municipal Credit Union and held various leadership roles at First American International Bank and Home Loan Investment Bank, including VP of Residential Lending and Residential Lending Manager. Sonita's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University.
