Desiree Pointer Mace

Desiree Pointer Mace has over 25 years of experience in education, currently serving as the Director of Graduate Programs in Education and Professor at Alverno College since 2007. In this role, Desiree has led professional development and educator preparation on various levels and contributed to the National Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA). Additionally, Desiree is a committee member of the Charter School Review Committee in Milwaukee, enhancing charter school quality. As a profesora invitada at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina since 2014, Desiree focuses on reforming teacher learning in Latin America. Previously, Desiree served as the conceptual architect and lead content manager for Inside Mathematics with the Noyce Foundation and worked as a research scholar at The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Berkeley.
