Jorge Albuja-Sánchez is a distinguished professional in the field of engineering, currently serving as the Coordinator of the Laboratory of Resistance of Materials, Soil Mechanics, Pavements, and Geotechnics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador since March 2017, where more than 480 consulting projects have been executed. Jorge holds multiple teaching positions, including Professor of Master's programs in Civil Engineering with a focus on Seismic Structures, Applied Geotechnics, and Structural Rehabilitation at various universities such as Universidad Central del Ecuador, PUCE Sede Manabí, and Escuela Politécnica Nacional. With a robust educational background including a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from Università degli Studi di Ferrara and a Master's from Imperial College London, Jorge has also contributed to the field as a researcher and consultant, participating in advanced geotechnical testing and evaluation.
