Dr. Michael Merz

Dr. Michael Merz is the founder and managing director of PONTON GmbH, a position held since December 2001. Prior to establishing PONTON, Michael Merz worked as a freelance software developer from 1984 to 1999, specializing in programming languages and technologies from the 80s and 90s. Additionally, experience as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg from 1993 to 1998 included contributions to various research topics such as electronic commerce and internet technologies. Dr. Merz earned a PhD in Computer Science and holds two diplomas in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Hamburg.
