Rachel Spera is currently the Director of Marketing & Merchandising at Poppy. Prior to this, they served as a Program Manager at The McCain Institute for International Leadership, where they managed and executed $1.5 million in annual operating budgets across 4 flagship leadership and education development products. Rachel also developed and launched the Next Generation Leader (NGL) program with 4 annual training modules which was adopted by users from 45 different countries.

In their role at The McCain Institute, Rachel also built and managed relationships with 7 new partner organizations in order to create additional user opportunities. Rachel implemented strategic digital campaigns in conjunction with communications team to drive web traffic during NGL application cycle with 225% increase in sessions on the website and 185% increase in site users from previous year, increasing program applications by 200% from previous year. Additionally, Rachel led early stage market research and proposal creation for rollout of a MA in International Affairs and Leadership. Rachel hired, trained and supervised 2 full-time direct staff and 4-6 interns annually.

Before their time at The McCain Institute, Rachel served as a Communications Intern at UNICEF from January to April 2013.

Rachel Spera has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Clark University, and a Product Management certificate from General Assembly. Rachel also has a bachelors degree from Immaculate Heart High School & Middle School.
