Marieke Verkoelen

Marieke Verkoelen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Marieke started their career in 2001 as a Marketing Intern at Studio Dror, where they conducted competitor analysis and developed market entry strategies. Marieke then worked as a Senior Account Manager at Sybari Software, managing sales for the Benelux area and consistently achieving top sales performance.

In 2005, Marieke worked as an International Marketing & Sales Manager at Sunscape Real Estate, followed by a role as a Customer Relations Manager & Consultant for Digital Market Entry Strategy at Mariva Real Estate Solutions.

From 2008 to 2012, they founded and managed the international social network lavidagay, overseeing online and offline marketing strategies and improving customer experience.

Marieke then joined Philips in 2012 as a Global Media Manager, responsible for organizing and managing online marketing for Philips lighting on a global level. Marieke later became a Senior Digital Global Media & Online Marketing Manager, leading creative marketing campaigns and activation plans, as well as driving strategic insights for future campaigns.

In 2018, they worked as a Marketing Strategy Consultant for ROBOT LOVE, where they set up the marketing strategy for an art event in Eindhoven.

Currently, Marieke is the Senior Director Ecommerce Europe at PopSockets, where they are responsible for driving ecommerce initiatives across Europe.

Marieke Verkoelen's education history begins in 1995 when they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from the University of Antwerp. In 1996, they enrolled at Fontys University of Applied Sciences where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in International Marketing, which they completed in 2001. In 2019, Marieke attended the jungiaans instituut Nijmegen, focusing on analytical psychology. In 2020, they enrolled in Yoga alliance and completed an Ashtanga ytt degree in Ashtanga yoga.
