Mirel Zaman has a diverse range of work experience in the media industry. Mirel is currently serving as the Content Director of Wellness at POPSUGAR. Prior to this, they held various positions at Refinery29, Inc., including Director of Life, Deputy Director of Lifestyle, Wellbeing, & Social Issues, and Senior Health & Wellness Editor. Before Refinery29, Inc., Mirel worked at Meredith Corporation as the Senior Health & Features Editor at Shape magazine and also as the Health Editor at Shape magazine. Mirel gained experience at Bauer Media Group - USA, where they served as the Health Editor at First for Women and held positions such as Senior Associate Editor, Associate Editor, Assistant Editor, and Editorial Assistant at First for Women. Additionally, Mirel has interned at Yankee Magazine and New Mass Media as an Editorial Intern.

Mirel Zaman attended Syracuse University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Magazine Journalism.
