Juan Marcos Cruz Orta

Juan Marcos Cruz Orta has extensive experience in business development and sales management within the insurance industry. Currently serving as AVP & Head of Business Development for the Health & Employee Benefits Practice at Popular since October 2016, Juan Marcos has demonstrated expertise in mobilizing practice operations and fostering relationships with agents and brokers. Prior to this role, Juan Marcos held positions at MAPFRE Puerto Rico as Sales and Group Service Manager, where sales and service objectives were established to expand the business, and at Canada Life Group Insurance in a similar capacity. Earlier experience includes a role as Sales Manager at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, focusing on federal employee program sales and training for sales personnel. Juan Marcos holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico - Metropolitan Campus.
