Jim Farmer

Jim Farmer, CPA, CPCU, currently serves as the Insurance Product Manager at Porch Group since 2025 and as Principal Owner at Ceres Ventures, LLC, managing a diverse portfolio across equity, commercial lending, and real estate in the United States and Vietnam. Previously, Jim co-founded Informed Group, Inc. to revolutionize homeowners' insurance and held advisory roles at PropertyScout.io. In earlier positions, Jim was Vice President at USAA, leading the Countrywide Personal Lines Property sector, and was responsible for significant revenue in various territories during tenure at Farmers Insurance. Jim's extensive experience in financial planning and analysis at QBE Insurance and consulting for Property & Casualty insurers at IBM further underscores a deep expertise in the insurance industry. Jim holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting (Honors) from The Ohio State University.
