Ivana Sedej is an accomplished food application scientist with extensive experience in the food and biotechnology sectors. Currently, Ivana is employed at Porifera since May 2019, focusing on energy savings through osmotic concentration for the food and beverage processing industry. Previous roles include support scientist at the USDA Agricultural Research Service, enhancing the marketability of California persimmons, and postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis, working on sustainable technologies for olive mill wastewater management. Ivana has also served as a research associate at the Institute of Food Technology - FINS, where research involved developing novel foods and investigating plant polyphenolics. Additionally, quality assurance management experience was gained at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad. Educational qualifications include a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Food Preservation Engineering from the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad.
