Ken Robbins

Ken Robbins has extensive work experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in brewing and blending operations. Ken served as the Operations Manager at Porifera from 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Professional Brew Master/Maitre Brasseur at Furrowed Brow Brewing Company, where they provided services such as technical support, coaching, and leadership in beverage manufacturing operations.

From 2018 to 2020, Ken served as the Director of Brewing, Blending, and Quality at Waterloo Brewing Company, overseeing the technical and operational aspects of brewing and blending operations. Before that, they held the position of Director of Brewing and Blending at Waterloo Brewing Co from 2018 to 2020, where they led a team of manufacturing professionals and brewers in creating award-winning beers and beverages.

Ken also worked as the Director of Brewing Services at McRae Integration Ltd. from 2016 to 2018, providing technical support and project management to the North American brewing industry. Prior to that, they served as the Manufacturing Plant Manager at Castrol - Wakefield Canada Inc. from 2010 to 2016, where they successfully reduced waste, improved productivity, and created a roadmap for future success in manufacturing operations.

Before their role at Castrol, Ken worked at Molson Coors from 2004 to 2010 as the Director of Brewing. During their tenure, they demonstrated strong leadership in the core manufacturing disciplines, focusing on productivity, delivery, quality, safety, cost management, and workforce morale. Ken also led multi-disciplinary teams on brewing and packaging projects and had a continuous improvement mindset.

Ken Robbins obtained a Diploma Brew Master degree in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science with Honors degree in Life Sciences at Queen's University from 1981 to 1986.
