Dr. Bernhard Schmiedel

Dr. Bernhard Schmiedel currently serves as the Product Owner for Data Analytics Infotainment at Porsche AG since June 2025. Prior to this role, Dr. Schmiedel worked at CARIAD as a Senior Function Engineer from July 2022 to June 2025, and held various positions at Porsche AG, including Entwicklungsingenieur Connected Chassis from October 2013 to July 2022. Earlier experience includes a role as a Praktikant at Porsche AG in late 2011 and academic pursuits as a Doktorand and Masterstudent. Dr. Schmiedel earned a Doctorate in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in Mechanical Engineering (Vehicle Technology) from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between June 2014 and September 2022, a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University from October 2012 to May 2014, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University from October 2008 to September 2012.
