Matthew Lobbe

Matthew Lobbe has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being the Head of Development at Port Adelaide Football Club since November 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at the club, including Ruck Coach / Football Operations. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Player / Midfield Coach at Werribee Football Club. Matthew also worked at AFL Players' Association as the Manager of Accredited Agents from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, Lobbe had a brief stint as a Leadership Consultant at Proud Mary Coffee Roasters in 2019. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Athlete at Carlton Football Club, where they excelled as a professional athlete and mentored younger players. Matthew also participated in the Next Goal Work Placement program at AMP in 2018, gaining experience in finance and management across various departments. Lobbe's first notable role was as an Athlete at the Port Adelaide Football Club from 2007 to 2017.

Matthew Lobbe completed their education in a chronological order. Matthew attended St Joseph's College from 2001 to 2006, but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study during this time. Later, they enrolled at the University of South Australia and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (Applied Finance) degree, studying from 2008 to 2015. In 2017, they continued their education at the University of Adelaide, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), although the end year is unknown. Finally, from 2018 to 2021, Lobbe attended the University of Melbourne, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

In addition to their formal education, Lobbe has also obtained several certifications. In 2008, they completed a Certificate 3 in Sport from AFL SportsReady. In 2009, they took a Presentation Skills Course at the University of South Australia. In 2010, they completed a Property Investment Course at TAFE SA. Most recently, in 2020, Lobbe obtained an Executive Certificate in AFL Management (Football Operations and List Management) from AFL SportsReady. Additionally, in 2021, they completed the AFL Level 3 Coaching Course offered by the AFL - Australian Football League.
