Sabera Hossain

Sabera Hossain is a dedicated healthcare and research professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Research Assistant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stony Brook University, Sabera performs cellular experiments focused on tissue regeneration and has received the Leo and Mickey Sreenby Researcher Award for innovative research in dental stem cells. Additional roles include Emergency Medical Technician at Port Jefferson EMS, Medical Assistant in a General Ophthalmology practice, and President of the Médecins Sans Frontières Student Chapter, overseeing program development and fundraising initiatives. Sabera's background also includes mental health advocacy as an Undergraduate Mental Health Worker, crisis counseling for Crisis Text Line, and global health volunteer work.
