David Seaman is a PhD student at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent, focusing on orang-utan habitat use and connectivity in human-modified landscapes. Additionally, David has a long-standing role as a Hoofstock Keeper at Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks since 2010, and previously served as a Gorilla Keeper, coordinating critical tasks including the transfer of a female gorilla to Germany. With earlier experience as a Chimpanzee Care Staff member at Monkey World and as a Gorilla Keeper with the largest collection of Western Lowland Gorillas, David has developed extensive expertise in animal care and management. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation from the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, earned from 2013 to 2016.
