Markus Braun

Markus Braun is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in the logistics and airline industries. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Port Newark Container Terminal since May 2011, Markus leads strategic initiatives to drive business growth within the largest asset-based container site in the Ports America Portfolio. Previously, Markus held senior finance roles at Ports America from January 2016 to November 2021, including Senior Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Atlantic Division, contributing to operations oversight and financial leadership. Markus's earlier experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for Condor Airline's sales division and involvement in financial planning and analysis roles at Thomas Cook, alongside operational finance roles at Eckes-Granini. Markus holds a Master's degree in Industrial Organization and Managerial Economics from the University of Tübingen and an MBA from Rutgers Business School.
