Joey van Elswijk

Joey van Elswijk is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the maritime and logistics sectors. Currently serving as the Commercial Manager for Renewable Fuels at the Port of Amsterdam since October 2014, Joey has played a key role in establishing the port as a world energy hub for transportation fuels. Previously, as a Consultant in Strategy & Innovation at the same organization, significant contributions were made to its development as a top European port. Additionally, Joey served as a Lecturer in Research Methodology at the Center for Maritime Economics and Logistics from September 2013 to March 2018, enhancing academic expertise in maritime studies. Earlier experience includes a consultancy role at Ecorys and a student assistant position at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where Joey also earned a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Maritime Economics and Logistics and Economics and Business, respectively.
