Rutger Oorsprong

Rutger Oorsprong is a strategic advisor at the Port of Amsterdam since October 2022, with prior experience as a strategist in sustainable innovation and senior advisor in circular economy at the City of Amsterdam from September 2019 to October 2022. Oorsprong has been a member of the Board of Advisors for BREEAM-NL In-Use at the Dutch Green Building Council and served as a policy officer for the Top Sector Agri & Food at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate from September 2017 to August 2019. Oorsprong's background includes training as a Rijkstrainee, covering multiple roles at the Ministry, and working as a policy advisor for innovation and circular economy at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sweden. Oorsprong holds a Master of Science in Strategic Entrepreneurship from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, alongside international study experiences at Babson College and Luiss Guido Carli University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Business Economics from Utrecht University.
