Harout Harry Semerdjian

Harout Harry Semerdjian currently serves as the Government Relations Officer at the Port of Long Beach since August 2022. Previously, Semerdjian held various significant roles, including Director of Global Trade & Foreign Investments and Senior Public Policy Manager at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce from June 2021 to July 2022, and Policy Analyst at the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs from April 2019 to March 2021, focusing on energy, environment, energy geopolitics, and climate change. Additional experience includes serving as Commissioner of the City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission, Director of Government Affairs & Resilience Officer at CALIFORNIA FIRE PREVENTION ORGANIZATION / MYSAFE:LA, and Legislative Deputy for the City of Los Angeles. Earlier career positions include Program Analyst at SOS International LLC and Research Associate at Harvard Kennedy School. Semerdjian holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, an M.A.L.D. from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and two degrees in History from UCLA.
