Shawn Choi

Shawn Choi, PE, PMP, ENV SP, is a Senior Civil Engineer and Design Manager at the Port of Long Beach, where responsibilities include leading design development, consultant procurement, and preparing construction documents for various infrastructure projects within the Harbor district since August 2017. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Engineer at PacRim Engineering from July 2011 to July 2017, as well as research assistant roles at UCLA Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and UC San Diego Department of Structural Engineering. Initial industry exposure occurred as a Project Assistant at Cal-City Construction, Inc. in 2009. Shawn Choi holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego.
