Dwight Leisle

Environmental Program Manager at Port of Portland

Dwight Leisle began their work experience as a Remedial Project Manager at NAVFAC NW in February 2008. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating the work of support agencies and contractors to accomplish the Navy's Environmental Restoration Program goals and policies. Dwight'sduties included managing remediation projects, coordinating site work, running project meetings, maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders, participating in community events, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Dwight'ssites included the Bremerton Naval Complex, Jackson Park Housing Complex, and the Former Naval Station Puget Sound.

In June 2011, Dwight joined the Port of Portland as an Environmental Program Manager. Dwight'sprimary responsibility was to coordinate project strategy and Port decisions related to the Lower Willamette River project. This involved implementing agreements with the Corps and City of Portland, communicating project progress to Port staff and stakeholders, and managing various project duties such as Natural Resource Damage Assessments and restoration planning for West Haden Island.

Dwight Leisle obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Washington in 1977. Dwight then pursued a higher-level education in the same field at the University of Washington's Graduate School, where they completed their studies in 1980. Prior to this, Dwight Leisle graduated from Ritzville High School in 1972, earning their High School Diploma.
