Mark Franken

Mark Franken is a seasoned professional in business opportunity management and project development, currently serving as the Business Opportunity Manager for Energietransitie at the Port of Rotterdam since May 2009. In this role, Mark oversees strategic collaborations to advance energy transition initiatives. Previous positions at the Port include managing new business operations and digital innovation strategies, as well as heading digital development and project management for IT. Mark's earlier career includes significant roles in real estate development and project leadership at various organizations, including Rijksvastgoedbedrijf and Havenbedrijf Rotterdam. Mark holds an MBA from TSM Business School and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, along with a certificate in Leading Digital Transformation and Innovation from INSEAD.
