Renée Yarmy has a diverse work experience with a focus on sustainable development and environmental initiatives. Renée started their career at Harley Ellis Devereaux as a Junior Architect, where they worked on LEED projects and prepared construction documents. Renée later joined the Manly Environment Centre as an Environmental Project Officer, conducting research studies and managing environmental projects. Renée then worked at Cardno as an Associate, Lead Sustainability Planner, and Project Manager, where they developed and implemented long-term sustainable development and asset management programs.

After that, they joined the American Planning Association (APA) San Diego Chapter as a Board of Directors member. Renée Yarmy, LEED AP OM, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, completing their studies from 1998 to 2004. Renée then pursued further education at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a Master's degree in Sustainable Development and a degree in Environmental Auditor, specializing in Environmental Planning.
