Gina Jacobs

Gina Jacobs, MBA has extensive work experience in various organizations and roles. Gina is currently working at the Port of San Diego as a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Business and Community Partner, starting in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority from October 2015 to June 2022. During their time there, they served as a Program Manager, Innovation & Business Development from July 2018 to June 2022 and as a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner from October 2015 to June 2018.

Before joining the Airport Authority, Gina worked at Suna Solutions as a Sr. Human Resources Generalist from November 2014 to September 2015. In this role, they managed various HR functions including PeopleSoft implementation, new hire onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, and training/development.

Prior to that, Gina worked at AMN Healthcare from October 2012 to November 2014. Gina served as a Project Manager for Corporate Social Responsibility Report from January 2013 to November 2014 and as a Human Resources Analyst from October 2012 to November 2014.

Gina's earlier work experience includes working at Nelson as an Operations Manager overseeing HR and operations activities and at UpWind Solutions, Inc. as a Consultant in 2010. Gina also worked at UBS as a Business Analyst from January 2008 to March 2010 and as an Operations Associate from April 2007 to January 2008.

Gina's career started at On Assignment as a Recruiter from June 2006 to February 2007, where they facilitated candidate identification, led interviews, and oversaw travel nurses. Gina also worked briefly as a Recruiter at Spectrum Healthcare from February 2005 to June 2005.

Gina Jacobs, MBA, has a strong educational background with a focus on sustainability. Gina completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Sustainability at Alliant International University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication/Political Science from San Diego State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.

Furthermore, Gina holds additional certifications in their field. Gina obtained the GRI Certified from the Global Reporting Initiative in April 2011.
