Michael Bouvet's work experience includes roles at various organizations.

Michael started their career as a Research Intern at The Brookings Institution in 2009, where they compiled a research paper on the pros and cons of the Group-of-20 (G20).

From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an Administrative Intern at The Catholic University of America Stewardship Office, where they executed data management, compiled mail merges, and managed correspondence with donors.

In 2011, they served as a Secretary for the Volunteer Committee at the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence, where they compiled meeting minutes, organized records, and provided customer service on the White House Comment Line.

Michael then joined the U.S. Department of State, Terrorist Designation Office in 2012 as a Research Intern. There, they constructed an open-source-based counter-terrorism simulation and researched terrorist tactics.

In 2013, they briefly worked as a Logistics Coordinator at the Human Development and Capability Association, managing the logistical planning of an academic conference in Nicaragua.

Also in 2013, they joined the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). Michael served as an Advanced GIS Intern, constructing a network for smuggling illicit materials and designing models to automate processes. Michael also worked as a GIS Technician, producing maps for research projects.

In 2014, they continued their role as a GIS Technician at START, managing the production of maps and utilizing various GIS tools and principles.

From 2015 to 2019, they worked at CentralSquare Technologies as a GIS Analyst and later as a GIS Support Technician. Michael'sresponsibilities included utilizing ESRI products, troubleshooting and improving geocoding, and managing spatial data.

Since 2019, Michael has been working at the Port of San Diego as a GIS Analyst II. Michael has acted as the GIS lead on a system replacement project, implemented portal dashboards, and automated workflows using Python and model builder. Michael has also managed access and permissions for portal content.

In addition to their professional experience, Michael also worked as a Supervisor at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2014, providing CPR and AED assistance and managing facility access.

Michael Bouvet graduated from the University of Maryland in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Government and Politics. In March 2022, they obtained a certification in Python Programming from UC San Diego Extension.
