Sureena Basra

Sureena Basra is a Senior Planner at the Port of San Diego since August 2022, with extensive experience in urban planning and environmental review. As an Associate Planner for the City of San Diego from February 2021 to July 2022, Sureena completed environmental documents and assisted with CEQA reviews. Prior roles include Community Planner at KTUA Landscape Architecture and Planning, focusing on Active Transportation Programs, and various internships at SANDAG and the Orange County Transportation Authority. Sureena also served as a Student Liaison for the American Planning Association, advocating for students' interests. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree from UC Irvine and a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University.
