Joe Monroe

Joe Monroe serves as the Maritime Operations Manager at the Port of San Francisco since April 2015, overseeing the port's maritime business and operational strategies for various maritime industries. Responsibilities include managing wharfingers, enforcing Port tariff and lease terms, inspecting and maintaining maritime assets, and coordinating tenant and vessel assignments. Prior to this role, Joe Monroe acted as Harbormaster at South Beach Harbor Marina from July 2009 to July 2022, managing operations and property for the harbor while reporting to the Director of Maritime. Earlier, Joe Monroe served in the US Navy as an Aviation Storekeeper from July 1999 to July 2003, focusing on logistics and supply management. Joe Monroe graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1999.
