Luiz Barata

Luiz Barata is a Senior Planner and Urban Designer at the Port of San Francisco since September 2022, bringing extensive experience in urban design from previous roles including Senior Urban Designer at the San Francisco Planning Department and Senior Associate Urban Designer at AECOM Design + Planning. Luiz has held various positions in urban design and planning since 1998, including roles as Urban Design Project Coordinator at Calthorpe Associates and Independent Contractor at LAB Consulting. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Urban Design from the University of California, Berkeley and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Universidade de São Paulo.
