Mian Rice

Mian Rice is an experienced professional in transportation planning and public policy, currently serving as the Director and Small Business Program & Policy Manager at the Port of Seattle since June 2012, where responsibilities include the establishment and management of the Small Business Program. Previously, Mian Rice held positions at Turner Construction as Business Development and Community Affairs lead, focusing on targeted market segments in the public sector, and served as Regional Policy Advisor for the City of Seattle, providing strategic guidance on regional issues. Mian Rice also acted as Senior Policy Advisor for Transportation, liaising with the Seattle Department of Transportation. Earlier career experience includes a role as Contracts Manager at CH2M HILL and a Transportation Planner/Engineer. Mian Rice holds a Master’s degree in Transportation Planning and a Certificate in Global Trade, Transportation, and Logistics from the University of Washington.
