Sara K.

Sara K. currently serves as a Senior Risk Manager at both the Port of Tacoma and The Northwest Seaport Alliance since July 2022. Prior to these roles, Sara held the position of Deputy Director of Operations for Claims Management and Risk Management at the City of Seattle from January 2021 to July 2022. Sara's extensive experience in risk and claims management includes a long tenure at the Port of Seattle from 2006 to 2021, where responsibilities involved providing claims and risk management services aimed at minimizing loss exposures and impacts on the Port's financial performance. Earlier in the career, Sara worked as a Risk & Claim Specialist for the City of Tacoma and managed the City’s self-insured workers compensation program. Sara holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from the University of Puget Sound.
