Penny Carey

Penny Carey is an accomplished professional in the field of sustainability and building physics, currently serving as the Sustainability Lead (Design & Engineering) and MEP & Sustainability Lead at Portakabin since September 2016. Previously, Penny held positions as a Building Physicist at EDCM Consulting and as a Building Physics Consultant at Blue Sky Architects. With extensive experience as Technical Director at Zero Energy Design Ltd and Consultancy Manager at IES Ltd., Penny also worked as a Senior Engineer at Halcrow and Project Engineer at Satchwell Control Systems. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Direct Wind Tunnel Modelling of Natural Ventilation from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Environmental Sciences, Energy & Wastes Management with Environmental Chemistry from the University of Northampton.
