Dr. Pamela Avila, DNP, FNP-BC, RN, MSN.Ed, PHN, DSD, has extensive experience in nursing and education, currently serving as a CTE Nurse Educator at Porterville Unified School District since August 2008, where responsibilities include teaching capstone senior classes and overseeing health career curriculum. Dr. Avila retired from PAHS, having previously built a clinical pathway that connected education from grammar school to college in coordination with several educational foundations. In addition, Dr. Avila is a Nurse Educator at the University of Phoenix, where nursing instruction and curriculum oversight have been provided since 2008. Past experience includes roles at Sierra View District Hospital and under the supervision of Ashok Behl, MD, providing comprehensive medical care for 30 years. Dr. Avila holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Wilkes University, along with multiple nursing degrees and certifications.
